Aromas and Flavors International was founded in 2003 by I.G. Kumar, a passionate believer in the idea that the world deserves to taste Indian spices the way they were always meant to be experienced, fresh, pure, and sourced directly from their native growing regions. What began as a family-driven venture in Erode, Tamil Nadu, has grown into one of South India's most trusted food ingredient manufacturing companies, supplying bulk spice pastes and dry spice products to food manufacturers, importers, and HoReCa distributors across the globe.
Located in Sathyamangalam, Erode, a region historically renowned for its proximity to India's finest chilli, tamarind, and aromatic spice cultivation zones, AFI is positioned at the very source of its raw materials. This geographic advantage, combined with two decades of hands-on manufacturing experience, allows AFI to deliver spice ingredients that carry authentic flavor, consistent quality, and complete traceability from farm to export drum.
Today, AFI operates a modern, certified manufacturing facility that processes over 50 spice products across three categories: whole spices, ground spices, and culinary pastes. Every product that leaves the AFI facility is the result of a carefully controlled process, from raw material sourcing and sorting through blanching, grinding, packing, and quality inspection, governed by internationally recognized food safety management systems.
